Built with a full-height form factor and a PCIe 2.1 x1 interface, this card has seven USB-A ports, six of which are external and one of which is internal. Ports 1, 2, and 3, which are located externally, each receive 5 Gb/s of dedicated bandwidth that is not shared with any other port. Ports 4, 5, and 6, which are located externally, and the one internal port all share a total of 5 Gb/s of bandwidth. When only one active device is connected to one of these ports, it will receive the full 5 Gb/s of bandwidth. Backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices, this card features hot pluggable and hot swappable device connection support with automatic device configuration and works with most USB-IF compliant USB peripherals.
